For Immediate Release: Atlantic Strategies Group Welcomes Cyndi Speight as Vice President
Washington, D.C. — Atlantic Strategies Group (ASG), a woman-owned, bipartisan advisory firm specializing in national security, defense policy, and military healthcare, is pleased to announce that Cyndi Speight has joined the firm as a Vice President, bringing more than three decades of experience advancing military health policy at the highest levels of Congress and the Department of War (DoW).
A respected leader across the defense health community, Speight has built a distinguished career shaping legislative strategy, guiding complex policy initiatives, and fostering trusted relationships across government and the defense ecosystem. Her deep expertise in federal health policy, congressional engagement, and interagency coordination will further strengthen ASG’s ability to support clients navigating the evolving policy and budget landscape of the Military Health System.
Most recently, Speight served as Director of Program Integration within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War for Health Affairs and the Defense Health Agency, where she was responsible for advocating and defending the Department’s $60 billion Military Health System before Congress, within the Department, and across the interagency process. In that role, she led legislative strategy and managed engagement with the House and Senate Armed Services and Appropriations Committees while overseeing the development of testimony, hearing preparation, congressional reports, and official correspondence for senior defense health leaders.
Throughout her career, Speight has played a central role in advancing major defense health initiatives, including Military Health System reform, TRICARE expansion, medical research and development, health information technology modernization, and beneficiary policy, while coordinating closely with the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Health and Human Services. She has also directed congressional communications during nationally reported healthcare quality and safety matters affecting military medical care.
Earlier in her career, Speight served on Capitol Hill supporting veterans’ and defense health policy, including work with the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee and senior Members of Congress. In those roles, she was responsible for developing legislation, crafting legislative strategy, and managing veterans’ health portfolios for senior lawmakers.
“Cyndi brings an extraordinary depth of experience and trusted relationships across the defense health enterprise,” said Cece Siracuse, Founder and Principal of Atlantic Strategies Group. “Her understanding of congressional dynamics, defense health policy, and the operational realities of the Military Health System will provide tremendous value to our clients and partners working to strengthen care and readiness for service members and their families.”
At Atlantic Strategies Group, Speight will support client initiatives related to military healthcare policy, congressional engagement, legislative strategy, and federal health programs, helping organizations navigate complex policy environments and advance mission-critical priorities.
“I am honored to join Atlantic Strategies Group and work alongside a team deeply committed to supporting the missions and communities that serve our nation,” said Speight. “I look forward to continuing the work of strengthening the Military Health System and helping organizations effectively engage in the policy process.”
